Ford Hood Ornaments

In 1903 Henry Ford formed the Ford Motor Co and rolled out his first Model A automobile from a rented plant. Three years later, in 1906 Ford became the number one automaker in the U.S., overtaking , Buick, Cadillac and Olds combined. Ford introduced the famous model T in 1908 and the rest of the story is legendary.

The Ford Motor Co. has produced many models of automobiles, some of the more notable are the - Model A, Model T, Model B, Torpedo, Parklane, Ranch Wagon, Victoria, Crestline, Mainline, Fairlane, Country Squire, Skyliner, Meteor, Sunliner, Galaxie, Thunderbird, Ranchero, Mustang, Edsel, Torino, Cortina, Granada, Falcon, Pinto, and Maverick. Hood ornaments were a mainstay in the early years of Ford, but by the 1960's very few models still sported them.
