DeSoto Hood Ornaments
Chrysler Corp. introduced the DeSoto line of motorcars in 1928. Demand for the new car was so intense that DeSoto set a first year production record that stood for nearly thirty
years. The car was impressive for its day, boasting many new engineering advantages not offered as standard features by the other luxury auto manufacturers of that era. 
Chrysler's DeSoto line had many successful models over the years, some of the more notable were - Airstream, Streamline, Firedome, Fireflite, and Adventurer. Hood ornaments were prominent on almost all models right up until the demise of the DeSoto division of Chrysler Motors in the early 1960's. |
